It is with deep sadness that we acknowledge the death of Ian Elliott, aged 72, who passed away suddenly and peacefully on Tuesday 8 January 2019 at Waikato Hospital after a short illness.
Ian was a vibrant and active member of our trust board, having only recently stepped down, he remained a strong supporter of CCCNZ. We valued his wise counsel and insight, and he will be greatly missed by the CCCNZ wider community.
Ian was a man of faith in Jesus Christ and this was the foundation for the way he lived. He was generous in his involvement with many organisations—both within our movement and the wider community—including his roles as chair of Lichfield Lands Inc, Trinity Lands Limited and Prison Fellowship International.
Here at CCCNZ we have been blessed to have worked alongside him. A natural leader, Ian brought confidence to those he came alongside, was astute in business and philanthropy, widely respected and held in high esteem. We grieve knowing he is with Jesus and home in heaven.
We extend to Ian’s wife Margaret, daughters Sarah, Marianne, and Theresa and their extended families our love and prayers. The Elliott family have asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be given in memory of Ian to Prison Fellowship NZ.
Ian’s funeral service will be held at the South Waikato Sport and Events Centre, Mossop Road, Tokoroa on Tuesday 15th of January at 1:00 PM followed by burial at The Putaruru Domain Road Cemetery. Please click here to view the official death notice.
