On Tuesday 40 people gathered at Eastern Beach in Auckland to celebrate the integration of Willow Park Christian Camp into the Te Maru whānau.
Camp Managers Olivia Wachter (Sonshine Ranch) and Stuart Turner (Willow Park) cut the ribbon.
Max Guptill and Jerome Edwards began with a mihi whakatau, welcoming people from a range of churches and camps, including Mt Wellington Community Church, Tāmaki Community Church, Northcross Church, The Orchard Te Puke, Hillcrest Chapel, Manawarū Bible Chapel and Riccarton Community Church; staff from Sonshine Ranch, Pacific Park and Willow Park; representatives and staff from Stewards and Te Maru.
The talented Willow Park chefs served up a delicious meal and CEO of Te Maru, Mark van Wijk (Tāmaki Community Church) outlined the organisation’s mission and vision for the future.
Shannon Samuels (CCCNZ Board Member, Tāmaki Community Church) prayed for new staff joining the Te Maru team.
It’s an exciting time for the CCCNZ movement as Te Maru seeks to work closely with churches to point people to Jesus through the gospel from the Bible, and see lives changed forever.
