At the recent Christian Camping Hui, Graham Ashby launched the book 100 Years of Christian Camping, which is in its final stages of editing and design before being printed.
Graham is very grateful to the Trusts that initiated this project and the excellent team that has worked with him during the last two years. Graham says, “I was pleased to acknowledge the importance of having this Christian camping history as a powerful reminder of what our pioneers established”.
In his research, Graham found that 32 camps and three hostels have contributed to this ministry's legacy. Now, 23 camps and two hostels remain active, and this book highlights their strategic input into so many lives.
Graham writes,
“We hope this gets you excited about having this fabulous collection of camping stories in your library, revealing how the Lord has worked mightily among us in the past. Our prayer is that this book will stimulate a wave of revival through our camps, hostels and churches in the days to come.”
The book can be pre-ordered through the 100 Years of Christian Camping website.
It’s so encouraging to see Graham’s heart in this project. He doesn’t want royalties from this book and says, “All proceeds will go to the Te Maru group who are working towards uniting camps and churches to partner together for the Gospel's sake. I'm thrilled to support this concept”.
