Last week, Scolarships Enabler Liz Hodge and South Island Enabler Tim Hoge visited Headspace interns in Christchurch.
Headspace is the programme GC3 relaunched this year. It’s a residential 10-month programme that combines theological studies, involvement with local mission outreaches, and two months with long-term missionaries overseas.
The four interns for 2025 (pictured below) are Sarah Jensen and Lizzie Nepia from Crossroads Church in Palmerston North, Hayley Spencer from Waikari Gospel Hall in North Canterbury, and Isabella Winder from Rosedale Bible Chapel in Invercargill.

All four participants have current applications in with Lichfield Lands for financial support of these studies, and they also raise funds via the Headspace website.
Liz and Tim Hodge enjoyed meeting Hayley, Isabella, Lizzie and Sarah this week to hear about the encouragement of their home churches in this new venture as they settle into new home churches in Christchurch.
Liz says, “It was wonderful hearing their reflections on their learning so far, and how they are already looking toward their missional futures”.
GC3’s Jon and Mari Slack and Christa Pickles are ably supported in running the Headspace programme by Riccarton Community Church and Westchurch.
