What a joy to see more than 20 young adults come together last weekend from Ingestre Street Church (Whanganui), Kingston Community Church (Palmerston North), Church on Vogel (Palmerston North), New Plymouth Community Church, and Feilding Bible Chapel.
The group met at Highland Home Christian Camp for the first ever Next Training: Lower North Island.
Next Training is designed to follow on from First Training, and is a space for young adults aged 18 - 30 to fuel a wholehearted faith and grow as leaders who boldly follow Jesus.
Craig Barrow (CCCNZ Youth and Young Adults) was blown away by the way the group came together on the weekend:
"We had an excellent training weekend with very passionate young adults. Towards the end of camp, they were in their church groups discussing how to keep the growth and community going after camp. Although that was awesome, the part that excited me even more was the discussion about how to do this regionally.
"There was a great, and slightly wild (they are young adults after all) discussion about how to work together better to encourage and inspire one another across the Manawatū and further afield."
