On Friday the Palmy-based CCCNZ staff team joined the Kingston Community Church team for lunch.
It was great to hear how interns Rebecca Treanor, Jed Meads and Shanae Rickard have set aside some time each Friday to learn and grow in God together. Each is involved with a number of church ministries throughout the week, and have people they are actively discipling, as well as being discipled and mentored themselves.
We enjoyed hearing that meeting people from the wider CCCNZ whānau is something built into the internship, with the interns connecting with CCCNZ Board Member and Tāmaki Community Church Kaitiaki Whānau Shannon Samuels via Zoom that morning, and plans to meet with others from CCCNZ churches in the Manawatū region and beyond.
Kingston Community Church was offered an internship support gift by Lichfield Lands, to support these internships.
CCCNZ’s mission is inviting local churches to work together regionally to disciple and grow leaders, who serve, replenish, and plant churches. For that reason, we love seeing how churches are discipling and growing leaders.
If your church would like to consider working with other churches in your region to run an internship or training programme, why not chat with your Regional Enabler? If you would like to discuss how interns can be supported through scholarships why not have a chat with CCCNZ Scholarships Enabler Liz Hodge?
