Tim Hodge, CCCNZ South Island Enabler, was in Southland this week. He said there is much to thank God for in Southland and shared this snapshot from his visit:
“Hayden Hillas, elder with Elles Road Bible Chapel in Invercargill, is rejoicing in their recent church camp at Lakeland Park Camp, Queenstown, with Bible teaching brought from Simeon Dudley from Takapuna Bible Church (Auckland).
“This coming weekend Rosedale Bible Chapel in Invercargill will also have their church camp at Lakeland Park Camp, with Rob Morton (NZ Rally) speaking.
Graham Fletcher, Hannah and Nigel Winder (Rosedale Bible Chapel) with the 'We're part of CCCNZ' sign that Tim delivered.“
In Gore, Gore Christian Fellowship have their annual camp in October, also at Lakeland Park. Peter Chalmers, one of the elders, is also a trustee at Lakeland Park. Chris Sutton and Stuart Davie round out the eldership at Gore and are enthusiastic about their new Sunday series in Hebrews, and they continue to work out how they can best serve and reach out to their community.

“Southern Bible Fellowship in Invercargill is only a few years old, with much of the drive from David Gibson (who used to volunteer as CCCNZ Southland Enabler). David has been intentional in training new elders and in the last few months, David has stepped down from eldership with three new elders trained: Chris Romero, Graeme Goldsmith and Josh Honiss.”
