On Saturday, Manawarū Bible Chapel hosted a workshop about Intergenerational Ministry run by Julie McKinnon, CCCNZ Children and Family Ministries Enabler. The turnout was great, with a mix of ages.
Emma Thompson writes,
“It was such a helpful workshop for us to think through how we value each generation and how getting the generations mixing and discipling one another is so important. Julie gave examples of what other churches are doing and there were thoughtful activities to help us think things through in the context of Manawarū.”
Emma said she left feeling really encouraged. She thinks that helpful discussions will come out of this workshop and hopes some changes will start to be made so that “everyone, from the youngest to the oldest, in the Manawarū church family knows they are valued, and we can create more spaces for discipleship.”

As a Service Trust, our mission is to invite local churches to work together regionally to disciple and grow leaders, who serve, replenish, and plant churches.
Therefore, if your church would like to consider coming together with other CCCNZ churches to have Julie do this workshop please let Julie know.
