I really appreciated being in the Wellington region from Tuesday to Thursday.
I loved meeting with Elizabeth Eley and Max Faletutulu from Tītahi Bay Community Church. It was encouraging to hear of the Lord drawing people to church for the first time and new children and families becoming part of the church family. It was neat to hear of multicultural elements in the service and their heart to reach Tītahi Bay.
I enjoyed meeting with David Sutherland (second from the right, back row) and the Vision Team from Porirua Gospel Chapel (pictured above) and was encouraged to hear about their partnership with the Hmong Christian community in Porirua and Asia. It’s inspiring to hear how the church family is sharing the good news of Jesus in such a multicultural community.
I really appreciated meeting with Miles Davison and Stephen Shirley from Heretaunga Community Church in Upper Hutt. Encouraged to hear of preparations for a significant community-focused Easter Outreach. I loved hearing of the community kids who attended a sports camp earlier in the year and heard more of the gospel through it.
Grateful to meet with Simon Gill from The Street Church and to hear what God is doing across the city as people step up and out to reach their communities through The Street’s various location gatherings.

I enjoyed catching up with Darryl Ward from The Anchor Church. I was particularly delighted to hear of the rising prayer temperature in the life of the church, with groups of people meeting on Sunday nights to pray and inviting the church to pray via Zoom and in small groups.
Lovely to catch up with Pete Rhodes-Robinson who celebrates 20 years of pastoral ministry at Onslow Community Church today. Pete, we so appreciate your shepherd's heart. We are grateful to God for you, Heather, and the family.
Lastly, I loved meeting the elders of The Coast Community Church. It was encouraging to hear of their quality Bible teaching, and that younger people stepping up into church involvement and community outreach. I’m grateful to God for leaders who shepherd with such a heart for the church family.
