On Saturday, NZ Rally held a Bay of Plenty regional training with leaders from Greerton Bible Church, The Orchard Church, Paengaroa Bible Chapel, Ōpōtiki, and Fenton Park Bible Church. Also, a small team from Roosevelt Road Bible Church joined them to get a sense of what Rally offers, along with a few leaders from iCare (an after-school programme) who connect the kids they have with the Rally at The Orchard Church.
NZ Rally CEO Tony Foster is grateful to God for this regional day in the Bay of Plenty, which marks the beginning of their third year of bringing Rally leaders together for training. He is also thankful to Mount Bible Chapel for allowing them to facilitate the training at their complex.
Tony comments,
“Our day started with Valerie Black sharing insights into ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) and autism. Sarah Chalmers took us through sharing the gospel with others which was very helpful because nationwide 45% of the kids that attend Rally come from homes not knowing much about Jesus.
“It was an honour to have Denis and Joy Wallace join us from Manawarū Rally. Denis served as the NZ Rally Council Chairman for many years and Joy and Denis still encourage and support the Rally board today.”
