A couple of weeks ago South Island Regional Enabler Tim Hodge shared a devotion on Revelation 7:9 and asked: How is Revelation 7 displayed in your community already?
New Plymouth Community Church has a great response, coming together every year to celebrate the diversity of languages, cultures and nationalities within their church community.
This year was the third time the church family get together to celebrate with food, dancing and singing.
Brian Ropitini is a pastor at New Plymouth Community Church and says the yearly dinner is a really special evening, and he most appreciates the unity of the different cultures in Christ.
Members not only share their food at the annual dinner, but spend time praying together and sharing God's Word in their native tongues. "The unity in Christ was evident," says Brian. "Embracing the uniqueness of each member's culture has enriched the church family".
"I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb."
