Last Saturday, Kingston Community Church held a women’s retreat at Highland Home Christian Camp. The theme "Joy in the Seasons" highlighted that although seasons change, God’s character doesn’t.
The retreat was an opportunity to strengthen relationships and create new ones. It was a time of refreshment and encouragement grounded in the Word.
There were two main sessions, time of reflection personally and then group discussions. And also, activities like crafting, knitting, puzzles, and poetry writing. And of course, good food!
Teri Lauder, one of the speakers, comments:
“I was encouraged by the fact that after the Word of God was spoken, women were able to reflect personally and then come into small groups and encourage each other by sharing how God was and is with them in every season.
“It was really nice to have Emma Foster (Highland Home Camp Manager) host us for the day and join us in the retreat.”
One of the attendees emphasised the retreat gave her lots to reflect on. Another woman said, “I found real joy today through the encouragement of all these women.”
