The need to develop local preachers led Justin Thompson from Manawarū Bible Chapel to start preaching development for seven younger people in the church.
Then three people from Hukanui Bible Church joined them. Blending a mix of theory sessions and practical exercises, they have been developing their ability to bring God’s Word to his people.

Justin says it has been encouraging to see people grow in their confidence in studying the Word and clearly communicating it to others in an engaging way. He says:
“I would encourage every church to look at who could potentially be the next preachers in the church and ask yourselves how you could help equip and train them.
"The future of the Church will be in a better place if we have more people in the next generation who are capable of faithfully and clearly preaching the Word of God.”
