Last week, CCCNZ South Island Enabler Tim Hodge visited the Nelson-Tasman and Marlborough regions. He came back very encouraged and shared these snapshots:
Grace Church in Richmond is a larger church and has a key role, through their Headingly Centre, in engaging with the wider community. Headingly Centre is a building in use with many groups throughout the week, including Grace Church services and ministries.

Tim enjoyed meeting the staff and elders so much that he forgot to take photographs of the whole team! Grace Church will be hosting the CCCNZ Nelson Regional Summit in November.
Tākaka Christian Assembly in sunny Golden Bay is a smaller fellowship, well integrated with the Tākaka community. Murray (elder) and Dot Marshall (pictured below) have been part of this work for many years.
Please pray for the Lord to save Paul, who is consistently involved but doesn’t yet know Jesus, and also for Murray with terminal myeloma blood cancer—he and Dot are at peace about him being with Jesus but aware that without him the Assembly at Tākaka would struggle.

Tasman Church is working with the Stewards’ Foundation to explore options for expanding the neighbouring Tasman Bay Christian School into secondary education. They also hold a fortnightly Systematic Theology class that has had more people than anticipated; it's excellent to see people keen to dive deep into God's word! Johann Vorster and Simon Cheong are the co-pastors and very welcoming.
Kaikōura Gospel Assembly serves the Lord in a variety of ways. Kevin and Helen Ngawhau met and married in Kaikōura. Kevin has all sorts of dreams for outreach in the town and is well-connected to do so. The hall is in use mid-week for fitness and Brazilian jiu-jitsu to connect with and welcome the wider community.
Thank the Lord for all he is doing in and through his servants in Grace, Tākaka, Tasman, Kaikōura, and many other places across Nelson-Tasman and Marlborough.
