On Saturday, around 150 leaders from 24 churches gathered for the Auckland Summit at Willow Park Christian Camp.
CCCNZ Auckland Enabler Richard Fountain comments:
“Saturday was a happy day. We saw church leaders chatting and mingling; what a joy to see people genuinely enjoying being together. It was amazing to see people from churches with different cultural expressions of worship from locations across Auckland come together. By his grace, God has given us a big family."
We are grateful to the team from Auuso Kerisiano Ōtara (Ōtara Brethren Christian Fellowship) for leading us in singing praise to our God (above) and the team from Willow Park for hosting us so well.
We also really appreciate Hangyul Cho from Northcross Church, who powerfully reminded us that the radical call to serve like Jesus begins with humility (above).
Richard says it was great to see leaders from churches across Auckland connecting and sharing stories about how they are working together, like Joy Fountain (Eden Community Church) and Ane Ponifasio (LifeChurch Manurewa) who are part of an Auckland cohort of Pathways College students. Ane and Joy are pictured above (in the centre block) and shared about their studies and how they are growing in leadership as they serve their local churches.
Richard says he's grateful for Summit, "I’m thankful to God for the huge effort that went in by all. And for how he makes Summits such a joyful time, for our benefit and for his glory."
