This week, CCCNZ Camping Enabler Richard Davis had a few wonderful days in Nelson, where he visited churches and attended the Teapot Valley Christian Camp Board meeting.
Richard writes, “It was wonderful to hear of how the camp was successfully operating and they spoke highly of their relationship with local CCCNZ churches (Hope Community Church, Grace Church, and Tasman Church) who all provide representation to the board”.

Richard also met with Daryl Bay (pastor at Hope Community Church), and with Ken Joyes (Grace Church Communities Pastor) and Katrina Allred (Grace Church Children’s Pastor) to share the camping vision and to hear of the good things the churches are doing.

Richard writes,
“The whole visit to Nelson was encouraging. Walking around the Grace Church site and listening to Ken sharing his passion for the community was very humbling.
“It was a real privilege to hear from Ken and to discuss how camps can serve the church by providing campsites to complement the community outreach programmes that the church has”.
