On Saturday, 130+ people from 22 churches were at Tōtara Springs Christian Centre for the Waikato-Bay of Plenty Regional Summit. What a blessing to see elders and ministry leaders from various churches chatting together.
Thank you to Justin Thompson (below, right) from Manawarū Bible Chapel for opening God's Word for us and preaching on what it means to serve like Christ from Philippians chapter 2.
Churches represented were Agora Church, Chapel Hill Community Church, Church @109, Greerton Bible Church, Hillcrest Chapel, Hukanui Bible Church, Lakes Church Rotorua, Lifezone Church, Manawarū Bible Chapel, Matamata Bible Church, Morrinsville Bible Church, Northgate Community Church, New Plymouth Community Church, Paeroa Bible Chapel, Putaruru Gospel Chapel, Raleigh St Christian Centre, Roosevelt Road Bible Church, Rukumoana Māori Assembly, Tauwhare Gospel Chapel, Te Awamutu Bible Chapel, The Orchard Church, and Whitiora Bible Church.
Some of the highlights for me… Seeing and meeting the elders and ministry leaders from Church @109 in Taupō. For most of you, it was your first Summit. We loved having you. Thank you so much for coming.
Kati Rapana (above, pictured on the left) shared powerfully with us about the recent youth conference held at Tauwhare Gospel Chapel with over 100+ young people attending from around the region. Thank you for the ways you and the team are pointing rangatahi to Jesus, through the gospel from the Bible.
I enjoyed chatting with some of the ministry leaders from Roosevelt Road Bible Church in Rotorua. You guys are an inspiration. We were so grateful you were there.
I really appreciated the way the young adults from Lifezone in Tauranga ably led us in worship. I appreciated the content and creativity of your worship leading. Well done! Thanks for stepping out and serving us so well.
I appreciated chatting with Caleb Wilkinson-Mackie from Hukanui Bible Church over lunch who is hoping to study theology soon.
We were so well served by Brian Bonnar, the new General Manager of Tōtara Springs, and the staff team. Thank you so much!
I was so encouraged by the chatting and connections in workshops, over lunch and across the day. We have been praying as a staff team that the Lord by his Spirit would draw you as churches to work together to point more people to Jesus through the gospel from the Bible. It was exciting seeing that happen on Saturday.
