It was encouraging to be in Levin on Wednesday. Matthew and Sally Wright from Manawarū Bible Chapel are with a mission team of around 15 Kiwi and Aussie students from Sydney Missionary & Bible College serving in the ministries at a local church. The team is led by Alan and Alayne Thompson, originally from Manurewa Bible Church.
Matthew and Sally are 18 months into a three-year degree at SMBC. They are lovingly sent and supported by Manawarū Bible Chapel and will return to serve at the church.
I’m constantly encouraged by the quality of the ministry of SMBC graduates in local churches in New Zealand. It’s consistently Christ-centered, gospel-hearted, Bible-grounded ministry.
I know a number of the students I chatted to are interested in New Zealand. If your church is looking for positions, I warmly commend touching base with Dr Alan Thompson. Alan knows the students well, and he knows our movement well.
