Last weekend I visited the annual Manawatū Regional Rally Camp at Forest Lakes Camp where 190 kids and their leaders came together for a weekend of fun, faith, and friendship.
There were nine rally groups present, from Feilding Bible Chapel, Church on Vogel, Crossroads Church, York Street Chapel, Queen Street Chapel, Rongotea Bible Chapel, Woodville Gospel Hall, Bunnythorpe Family Church, and Dannevirke Bible Chapel. Half the children were there for the first time.
Some of the activities included biscuiting on boats, shooting BB guns, doing obstacle courses, charging through a blow-up, and flinging down a mudslide.
Ray Cooper (pictured below) powerfully and creatively captured everyone's imagination with his puppets, props, and videos, creating memorable gospel engagements.
I came away in awe of the around 50 Rally volunteer leaders---after full week of work they gave their time to love and care for the kids.
I’m so grateful for the ways churches are working together to point children and families to Jesus, through the gospel from the Scriptures, through Rally NZ.
