Lewis McCallum (pictured above right), from Onekawa Bible Church, was offered an internship at his church around a year and a half ago.
Lewis writes, “Until this point, I had already begun serving in the church, primarily within the young adults and evangelistic ministries. But with this formal position, I began receiving more intentional discipleship and material to support my journey into Church ministry”.
Pastor Phil Henderson applied on Lewis’s behalf to Lichfield Lands for a scholarship, which was approved.
Lewis comments, “With this financial gifting, I have worked closely with the eldership, seeking to use the resources wisely and with their guidance I have been blessed through a preaching conference I attended early this year, developing my ability to exposit and deliver the Word of God worthily”.
“Next year in March I will be using some of the funds to travel to California with a group of elders and lay leaders in my church, to attend the Shepherds conference, this would not have been possible without Lichfield Lands and their generosity. Already I feel more equipped to serve the blessed Church of our Lord Jesus Christ, which is my greatest privilege and desire”.
