Nick Goodwin, Pastoral Theologians Fellowship Coordinator, writes:
“Following on from last week’s dinner in the Waikato, it was a pleasure to once again be gathering with an enthusiastic and engaged group of church leaders from around Auckland (and as far away as Christchurch). Great discussions were had concerning the nature of theology and how to raise our game in this area.
“I was particularly struck by the number of comments that related to the need for Biblical literacy, for greater recognition of Biblical authority, and for training our congregations in how to investigate Scripture for themselves and ask good questions.
“I’m heartened by the fact so many in the Auckland/Waikato region have given up their time in the past week to participate in significant conversations about the place of theology and doctrine in our churches”.
