Cornerstone International Bible Church opened its new building in Filleul Street in Central Dunedin on Sunday 12 November.
All the tradespeople who worked on the building were invited to join them for a service of dedication and opening followed by morning tea. Elder John Woodfield commented about the challenges they had on this journey, which were 15 years of looking, competition from the University, three unsuccessful bids and the COVID-19 pandemic.
A special thank you to Jim Robertson, Lance Woodfield, Chris McLean and the Building Committee members: Graham McIlroy, Ron Jack, Peter Brown and Rachel Woodfield, as well as to the 20 people and organisations that have donated more than 2 million NZD, the two people that provided interest-free loans, and almost all members of the church that have committed time.
John Woodfield writes:
"The aim of the church for this building is to be a centre for outreach to students and people of Dunedin and to support other assemblies and Christian ministries in our area".
We are so happy for you. We praise God and recognise that a lot of work and time was needed to make this possible. Congratulations!
