By Mark Grace, CCCNZ Ambassador
I love seeing churches across the movement working together to reach children and youth in their communities through Rally.
In late July, over 100 kids from Bunnythorpe Family Church, Crossroads Church, Church on Vogel, Feilding Bible Chapel, Marton Bible Chapel, Queen Street Chapel, Rongotea Bible Chapel, and York Street Chapel held a Winter tournament in the Manawatū / Horowhenua region. Each of these churches Rallies battled it out to take home the trophies.
The finals were an exciting battle between Rongotea Bible Chapel and Bunnythorpe Family Church in both the girls' and boys' competitions and Brunswick and Crossroads Church in the volleyball competition.
Thank you to the churches, and your amazing Rally volunteers for working together to point these children and youth along with their families to Jesus, through the gospel from the Scriptures, through Rally.
Tony Foster, NZ Rally Facilitator, writes:
"We are really excited to announce that Tasman Church has restarted a Rally!
"We received an enquiry through the NZ Rally website from a lady named Jess and she was wondering if there was a Rally in the Tasman Region, when we discovered she was from Tasman Church we asked would they be interested in re-starting one?
"Jess shared this with her church leadership and church family and they all encouraged her to start the Rally again. Along with some others Jess re-started at the beginning of Term Three. Jess shared with me they had a good number of children turn up on their first night. They made some balloon carts and they looked like they had a blast.
"It has been really exciting seeing Rallies starting this year in New Plymouth and Tasman and we are delighted to hear Fenton Park Bible Church in Rotorua will be starting a Rally at the beginning of Term Four.
"If your church is looking to launch a Rally please don’t hesitate to talk to us, we are here to help and I can show you the resources we have including some amazing curriculum that we regularly get feedback on how easy it is to use".
